Nova ID is the identity layer that powers the entire Nova Suite.
It’s your single, secure account for accessing all Nova apps , from Docs and Calendar to Central and Astro.

Signing in, syncing data, or managing your account, Nova ID ensures your experience is seamless, private, and consistent across every part of the Nova ecosystem.

🧭 What Is Nova ID?¶

Nova ID is your universal identity within the Nova Suite.
It keeps you securely connected across all Nova products under one verified account.

Each Nova ID includes:

A unique user profile tied to your credentials
Secure authentication and verification via NUVE
Synced sessions across all Nova apps
Linked data for preferences, settings, and integrations

Nova ID was built to unify everything you do within Nova, securely and transparently.

🧩 How It Works¶

At the core of Nova ID is NUVE (Nova Unified Verification Environment), the system that authenticates and verifies your identity.

Here’s the basic flow:

You open a Nova app (like Nova Docs or Calendar).
The app checks if your session is active.
If not, you’re redirected to NUVE at uve.novasuite.one.
You sign in or verify using your Nova ID.
NUVE securely logs you in and sets a shared session cookie for .novasuite.one.
You’re returned to the app , instantly recognized and ready to go.

This means one login grants access to everything, while maintaining strong security controls behind the scenes.

⚙️ Security & Architecture¶

Nova ID is powered by Nova ID Core Services, which include:

NUVE (Nova Unified Verification Environment): Handles all authentication and verification processes.
Nova Identity Database: Securely stores hashed credentials and user metadata.
Session Layer: Uses encrypted tokens shared across .novasuite.one subdomains for smooth cross-app access.
Recovery Layer: Provides safe account recovery via verified email or phone (no automated resets yet).

All authentication requests are routed through NUVE, ensuring consistent policies, encryption, and monitoring.

🔄 Recovery & Verification¶

If you ever lose access to your account:

You can recover it using your verified recovery email or phone number.
Recovery requests are manually verified by the Nova support team.
Automated recovery systems will be introduced in a future update.

Important: Never share recovery codes or verification links with anyone , Nova support will never ask for them.

🔐 Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)¶

Nova ID supports multi-factor authentication (2FA) to help protect your account.
Once enabled, you’ll be prompted to verify your login using:

A one-time code from an authenticator app (TOTP)
Or an alternative method, depending on your setup

MFA setup and management is handled directly in Nova Accounts at account.novasuite.one.
