Nova DevCon Overview¶
Nova DevCon is the central dashboard where developers manage their applications, monitor usage, and configure access to the Nova Suite platform. It serves as the primary interface for everything from initial app registration to global distribution through the Nova Marketplace.
What you can do in DevCon¶
The DevCon console is designed to give you a clear view of your projects and how they interact with Nova services.
App Management¶
This is where you handle the identity of your applications. - Register Apps: Create new projects and generate the necessary App IDs and secrets. - Configure Metadata: Set your app's name, icons, and descriptions for the marketplace. - Enable Services: Toggle specific platform features like Nova Patcher for your builds.
Usage and Monitoring¶
Keep track of how your apps are performing and how much of the platform they are using. - API Tracking: View real-time request volume for Nova APIs, such as the GIF search and text analysis tools. - Plan Limits: Check your current usage against monthly quotas to ensure your services stay online. - Health Checks: Monitor error rates and response times for your integrations.
Security and Access¶
Manage your credentials and define how your app interacts with user data. - Key Management: Revoke or rotate API keys whenever you need to update security. - Authentication Scopes: Define exactly what permissions your app requests via NUVE. - Identity Integration: Configure how your app connects with the broader Nova ID system.
Distribution¶
When you're ready to share your work, DevCon handles the logistics. - Manage Releases: Upload new builds and assign them to specific channels like Alpha, Beta, or Production. - Automated Updates: Use Nova Patcher to push updates directly to your users.
Navigating the Dashboard¶
The console is organized into a few main sections:
- Dashboard: A high-level view of your active apps and overall usage stats.
- Settings: Global developer preferences and security credentials.
